<lj:music>the painful ringing in my ears</lj:music>

Okies... the second entry...

I managed to lock my account for a while because i forgot my password again *laughs* but it's all sorted now ^_^

So yeah... Girugamesh had it's obvious highs and lows... the camping was much better than i first thought it would be because we were camping for two days instead of the usual one. >_< Mad? haha yeah... but it seemed to go quicker than i anticipated. Even with my absolutly shittin' myself that my dad would phone me asking if i wanted a lift or finding out that i wasn't actually where i said i would be.
I found it strange though that some of the usual people who turn up to camp out (like they did last year for the band) were not there... turns out that they were on a 'guest list'.

I have decided that i loath guest lists.
I know that people don't have to camp... but considering Jrock fans have to travel from all ends of Great Britain to get to the ONE show they play in LONDON... and we don't see each other often because we live so far apart... it's nice to spend time with each other and have the thought that we can get as close to the front as possible seeing as many of these bands only play the one show over here.

Then, when people arrive ten minutes before the doors open stating they're on the guest list and manage to stand at the barrier next to those who have camped for two/three days, it does piss the majority off. Especially when said people are supposedly on a 'street team'.
I am a member of two... a leader of one... and in my personal view... if these people are a member of the Girugamesh street team, they should earn the right to stand at the front.
Maybe they did do promo work and whatever... but they could have done it before the gig as well... street team = team work on the streets for a start, so why were they not making the effort to camp out with the other fans (who were not on the street team or actually aware that they had one!)?

The other thing that annoyed me was all those people who were angry that the gig finished at half past eight...

Girugamesh played an 18? song setlist which is pretty damn good! If they went last year... it finished at an early time as well so i was expecting it to finish at around the same time this year as well.
We got to see them... they came back to the UK... they played eighteen songs... be grateful! >_> at least we're not waiting for years for them to return.

Anyway, enough of that rant...

I just found out that my jobseekers is STILL undergoing the processing stage. Why? Because they want to know the exact date that i left university. Fair enough... but couldn't they have told me that in March when i first signed on?
So, i sent an email to the university asking for a letter or document stating the date that i left... and i found out today that i have to pay for this. This has angered me so much... it is five pounds for this letter... and a further ten pounds if i want proof that i finished my first year. It may not seem like a lot if i actually had money and job... but i dont at the moment so i'm not happy at all.

On a better note... i got some drops for my ear (it does hurt but at least it'll clear up in a few days *fingers crossed*) and i have an appointment for next month to finally donate my pint of blood! WOOP! ^_^

*sighs* i need a smoke.

xo

Yet again i'm feeling the need to change my livejournal because i'm getting bored with having the same things on it... so i had a mega idea that i can use this to put things that i dont want anyone [in my family =O ] to see/ find out... because during and after Girugamesh i was absolutely pooing myself as i told my parents i was going to this college open day thing... *laughs* yeah i was actually in London to see a band... and my dad, in his benevolent awesomeness, said he was gonna pick me up.

I would have been SO majorly screwed if he had have turned up at my friends house or the college to get me and i wasnt there... and nobody knew where i was.

But... i got home yesterday and my parents didnt say anything about it... im sure if they had have found anything out they would have had me round the throat or out of the house... soooo >_>

I had to laugh this morning... i was dancing around the living room to Break Down and then i decided to see if anyone had put anything up on youtube from Saturday. There are a few live bits which i havent watched yet, maybe i'll get round to it later, because there was a ranty thing that caught my eye.

Basically this girl was saying that Girugamesh are her absolute favourite jrock band and nobody had informed her or her friend that the doors were opening at 6 and not 7. This i thought... well yeah fair enough to be upset about that... but thats what happened at Gazette as well... and Diru?

It also said on a lot of peoples tickets that there would be a support band or "special guests"... this wasnt the case... but the thing is... it said that on the tickets last year as well and there wasnt a support band then either. So this person turns up at the venue at quarter to eight... she's missed half of the show already... i can understand completely why she is upset about it.

However... i had to laugh because... if Girugamesh were her favourite band... like ultimate favourite... why was she not there when the ticket said the doors would be opening? Even if she had gotten there at 7... she wouldnt have missed them... maybe i'm being really mean here but, seriously, for all those who queued two and three days before... including me... i think i have every right to laugh.
Plus if this person had work or school or whatever... yeah i had to lie so much to get away... in fact i've missed shit loads of things and lied to tutors and my parents to see my favourite bands to the point that i might be thrown out of the house... but i got there on time (front row on time!) *snorts*

Short entry... but i need to go out for a bit ^_^

xo

... a very very very long time since i have been on here, and a lot has happened in those two (or is it three?) weeks that i have been away!

The Dir en Grey concert to begin with (because i simply must) was absolutely amazing XD and plus i got used to using the tube which i wasn't overly keen on using at first.
The first night of Diru started a bit bleh because my asthma starting playing up before the support act even came on so i moved out to stand at the side of the stage with my friend... however luck turned our way because being on crutches my friend had to use the upstairs loo and i got to go with her... we met the drummer of the support band in the lift hahahaa he was really friendly ^_^. We watched Diru come on stage from the V.I.P area so that was good... though we missed the second song because the security peoples were trying to get the lift back for us to go back downstairs ¬¬ not good... but the nice lady took us back to the V.I.P bit and we got to watch from up there all night *nods* nice people.
The second night was soooo much better! Diru played a lot more of their older songs which made me really happy and GDS was the opening song *grins* i almost (but only almost) lost my voice screaming when it started. O_O there was however two things that miffed me off... the girl that was two people behind me... not dressed in the attire for jumping around near the front of the stage... and she was quite large too so when she needed to get out... >_< oh plooey that was a mess... and poor Vee, the tiny Welsh girl that clung to me and Lorna... godammit! why did no-one but me try and help her out wen she was sick and fainted! i am a life saver! *cries* she could have been crushed and no-one but me and Lorna were bothered! (*is hoping that lovely Vee is alright because i didn't see her after that*)
*sighs* and of course... the arm... O_o all i wanted was for the elbow to stop colliding with my face... and i tried to explain numerous times... and i am truely sorry to the girl that i hurt but the elbow hurt me too... you should keep you arm straight wen punching the air and so forth so your crushed neighbours do not get knocked out... =/ lol
But all in all... it was fantastic!! and UK-ers who didn't get a chance to see them.. take absolutely no notice of the Kerrang review... Ian whats-his-face has no clue ^_^

Aaaaand for the Saturday (the 4th of August) i was knackered! i had to be up at half 5 (i only got home at quarter to 12, in bed at half 1 and only three hours sleep over four days) to be on a plane to go up to scotland for my weeks family holiday... i kept dozing on the coach from Aberdeen to Ballater which was not fun 'caus i don't really like sleeping on transport... i am paranoid! and then it bloody rained for three days... not happy with that... but i did get to see Billy Connelly as he drove past me when i was in my wellies and muddy clothes >_< haha he has a nice yellow land rover.

*Exam week* O_O

I had not a lot of sleep last week because it was the week that my A-level results came out... i felt sick (which actually when i think about it isn't really that unusual) and i kept having nightmares. I got my envelope on the morning and i opened it about half an hour later haha... i didn't get what i wanted but because they take into account the results i got last year, working it out on the ums thing, i could have gotten full marks on my june exams and still only gotten C grades anyway... *nods* i achieved three C grades... which isn't bad and i am getting ready to go off to Leeds University ^_^
The only thing that made me kinda mad about my theology marks were that i got 100 out of 120 on my exams overall... which is an A... but my coursework was a C *glares and then sighs*

Anywhoo... the next few weeks are probably going to be quite full of things to sort out, although of course i haven't forgotten the other reason why i have a journal, and i have been writing another one-shot which should be up soon... and it has taken a different turn to the other stuff that is up here.

*bows and takes leave*
